Other Hotels
La Mola, Barcelona
Spain’s La Mola Hotel is one of the most recent Principal Hayley venues to open; it opened to guests at the end of 2008 and, along with Chateau Saint Just, is one of the first hotels from the group to open outside the United Kingdom. La Mola is located next to a natural park in Terrassa and is to be found approximately 30 minutes from Spain’s second city, Barcelona. From its position in the countryside the hotel has a vast area of meeting and event space which covers no fewer than 4,000 square metres. It is also next to a golf course and so if guests are looking to relax over a round they can soak up some rays while hitting some teas and putting some pars, or better still some birdies.
The Palace Hotel, Manchester
The Palace Hotel is a striking grade II listed building dating back to the end of the 19th century, and proves one of the most distinctive buildings in the city of Manchester. This is partly due to its terracotta façade and partly due to its unmistakeable clock tower. Located in the heart of Manchester, the Palace Hotel is set next to Oxford Street Station and is within walking distance of all of the city’s prime attractions, including the theatre district. The hotel has recently undergone a modern restyling that is most attractively demonstrated in the hotel’s massive theatre, which is able to seat up to 1,000 delegates.
Eastwood Hall, Nottingham
Nottingham’s Eastwood Hall is situated amid 26 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and grounds in the village of Eastwood near the major East Midlands city. The hotel features a white facade, while all around there are trees and greenery providing a relaxing backdrop for leisure and business visitors alike. It is set just five minutes from the nearest motorway junction and parking is readily available at no extra charge. The Hall is ideal for meetings and events; it has extensive facilities which include a sizeable 36 function rooms, the largest of which can host up to 320 people.
The George Hotel, Edinburgh
The attractive George Hotel is set on one of Edinburgh’s main shopping and commercial centres – George Street. It brings together traditional style and charm to offer a luxurious setting in which to stay during your time in the city. The George opened at the end of the 19th century; before this it was used for other purposes for a period of more than one hundred years and so the venue’s history is evident. Updates continue apace; there was a recent £20 million refurbishment to ensure the hotel remains up-to-date and ready to meet the needs of its 21st century guests. Further, the city’s central train station is a short walk or taxi ride from the hotel and so access it made convenient.
Sedgebrook Hall, Northampton
The Sedgebrook Hall is one of the group’s impressive countryside hotels and is based around a historic building, as a number of the Principal Hayley venues are. The first thing you will notice is the impressive Victorian house, while on searching around a little further guests will be able to explore the 13 acres of landscaped grounds as well as the venue’s other less traditional buildings. The Sedgebrook Hall is well-placed a short distance from the neighbouring motorways, near to the market town of Northampton and so access is fairly straight forward. Finally, the hotel is ideal for a range of meetings and events; there are no fewer than 23 facilities which can be used for activities for up to 200 delegates.
